Ingredients

  • 1 cup 240ml warm or room temperature water
  • 1 tablespoon 15ml organic apple cider vinegar (with “the mother”)
  • Juice of ½ fresh lemon approx. 1.5 tbsp / 22ml
  • ½ inch 1.25 cm piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper 1/8 tsp, adjust to taste

Method

  1. Grate the fresh ginger into a glass or mug.
  2. Add warm or room-temperature water, apple cider vinegar, and fresh lemon juice to the glass.
  3. Stir in the ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper.
  4. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined. You can strain out the ginger pieces if you prefer, or keep them for extra fiber.
  5. Drink immediately and enjoy as part of your morning routine.

Notes

  • Always dilute with water to protect tooth enamel.
  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to your preferred level; start small.
  • For best results, use organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with “the mother.”
  • It can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours, but it is best fresh.
